Works well. Used it to pimp small amounts of water out of hot tub. Needs longer hose. It’s great until it stops sucking water…not sure what happenedI had to get a lot of water out of my canoe before I could more it from it's storage spot. So, I was able to give this a good trial, moving a lot of water. First off, it did well at sucking in the water and pumping it out the outlet. That is the primary function, and at that it does well. The main problem I ran into was that the outlet hose doesn't stay in place. It was constantly popping off as I was using it and water would end up straight out of the outlet, usually back into the boat or on my shoes. The other issue is that it doesn't have a screen on the front to keep out grit. I'm not sure that any of these do, but when I used it to pump some sandy/dirty water it took it in and eventually ground to a halt. That is the downside of self-lubricating with water, and would probably be a problem with most bilge pumps.I use it when repairing and replacing toiletsCost, qualityMy only complaint is that the hose could be longer… other then that… it worked beautifully I am so pleased with this product! Worth the money to have on a boat as a back up! Saved is big time!Hose is way too short for almost any boats.Probably not the designed use, but I used it to pull water from a hole where my sprinkler system was leaking. It works until you start sucking in dirt. It will clear dirt if you get it to sucking more water than dirt.
