a. Little spendy compared to making your own set-up, however it's a better quality and price compared to those offered at hardware and home-improvement (Home Depot, ACE, Lowes, etc.) stores.b. Thus far I've only used this hose through about 2 weeks of freezing temperatures but it works great...when I put my hand on the hose I can feel the heat generated by the heat-strip...not just some warm feeling you get from a DIY-made set-up.c. I like the stiff durable thick material this hose is made of...it's definitely heavy-duty.d. The heat cable (strip) is under a water-proofing plastic-casing that covers the entire length of the hose...this is a real plus because you don't have to insulate and water-proof the hose when it's exposed to outside rain and moisture.e. Another plus is the nice long plug-in cord at the end which has a led-lite that illuminates brightly in the plug when plugged-into the 110-115V wall-outlet.In summary: This is an outstanding quality hose compared to others on the market...and you don't need to find a well made short-length hose, jerry-rig heat-tape, insulate and water-proof which is something I've done several times within the past 20 years; never again, this Camco hose is what's happening...two thumbs up and a couple toes too.
