I got four seasons out of it. Unlike other people, I never had any problems with the main threaded inlet. I did, however, leave it in place all winter so I rarely removed this from the faucet. The knobs controlling the four valves appear to be made out of metal-reinforced plastic, but those knobs were always difficult to turn by hand. One of the knobs broke off three years ago but the valve still worked - I have been using vice grips to turn the valve on that one. After tiring of this situation I bought another unit with very similar construction, but from Melnor. I don't have the Melnor long enough to judge its durability, but the valves are easier to turn.
